About Carina

Carina Cohen received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Educational Studies from Vassar College. She also minored in mathematics and studied psychology. While at Vassar, Carina worked as a Calculus II Supplemental Instructor and participated in a plethora of music organizations.

After receiving her degree, Christina continued further studies of mathematics at East Stroudsburg University and is also involved in community music and theater organizations including Rebel Stages, Shawnee Playhouse, Theatrical Gems, Pocono Concert Chorale, Pocono Community Orchestra, and Pocono Flute Choir.

Carina is honored and excited to start her teaching career at the Summit School of the Poconos. “I’m particularly enthusiastic about a relevant and integrative mathematics curricula that encourages critical thinking and quantitative literacy, and I hope to see this approach expand into communities beyond ours,” she said. “I look forward to my own growth alongside my students’.”

Today, Carina continues to reside in her native town of East Stroudsburg with her family.
