Sarah Weber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Arts Degree in Professional and Digital Media Writing, both from East Stroudsburg University.
With management experience in the hospitality industry under her belt, Sarah went on to put her writing skills to work as a grant writer and administrator for Planned Parenthood. She later took employment with her alma mater, East Stroudsburg University, as the Assistant Director of Sponsored Projects and Research. Here, Sarah helped procure millions of dollars in funding support by writing grants and managing the grant process from start to finish. She did this while also directing and growing the University’s Faculty and Development Research Program, requiring close collaboration with University staff and professors.
Sarah brings her leadership skills and non-profit experience to Summit School of the Poconos, where she will lead the School on a path of continued growth. Her efforts and strengths as an Executive Director will provide a solid platform from which the School’s mission can be implemented by staff and our school community.
“I have always been a mission-centered person with a great love for animals and the welfare of women and children. I’m also an advocate for social justice: specifically equal opportunity for all, including but not limited to access to high-quality, alternative/innovative approaches to education,” says Sarah. “I am very excited to be a part of the Summit School team.”
In her free time, Sarah loves to travel domestically and internationally to enjoy different cultural practices and culinary experiences. She also enjoys dining out, gourmet cooking, and hosting dinner parties. She is an avid reader and writer of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Originally from New Jersey, Sarah lives in downtown Stroudsburg with her husband, two children, and their dog.
